Laura Michelle Owens continues to cry wolf to the Scottsdale Police!
Today, we delve into the troubling case of Laura Michelle Owens, who repeatedly made false reports to law enforcement. Here, we have compiled a list of all police reports obtained to date from the Scottsdale Police Department. This post includes calls made by Laura Owens to SPD as well as wellness checks called to her address. There are or may be additional police reports from the San Francisco area.

Laura calls the Scottsdale PD stating that she is being harassed by Shaun of Lone Cactus Construction

Laura contacts the Scottsdale PD accusing Shaun on Lone Cactus Construction
August 24, 2021
Laura calls the Scottsdale police to report Greg Gillespie for harassing her.
November 1, 2021
Laura accuses Greg Gillespie of tracking her via spyware on her computer, hacking into her laptop and smart watch. She states they “recently broke up.”
November 6, 2021
Laura receives a text from an unknown number and claims that it was Greg’s cousin that messaged her.

2023:
July 31, 2023
Laura calls the police to report Clayton Echard. The police recommend that Laura block him and apply for a protective order. Laura refused to do either of those things because she “wanted to know what he was thinking.”
Laura wanted to ensure the conversation was documented.
September 22, 2023
Laura calls the police to report Clayton for posting on instagram. Laura attempts to get an emergency injunction against harassment. Laura was out of town, but claims “it’s like an emergency, he’s actively posting this”.
Laura attempts to silence her victim right after taking her story to the media anonymously.
Laura calls officer back after missing a call. This is the call where Laura’s mother, Jan Black (a.k.a. Elizabeth Naylor), can be heard in the background talking about Clayton, “He’s a joke, honey, he’s a joke!”

Laura reports Greg for violating the OOP. She sends a file to the police called “The Gillespie Connection” where she outlines why she believes Greg is the one posting on Reddit.
September 28, 2023
Laura contacts the police to report a “fake” OOP that had been posted on Reddit. This was the order Greg got against Laura, but never served.
October 6, 2023
Laura calls the police to report that Clayton is harassing her online.
October 7, 2023
Laura calls to report Greg for violating the OOP claiming he is making posts on Reddit.
October 8, 2023
Laura calls to report Clayton for violating the OOP. Police inform Laura that the OOP does not go into effect until it is served.
Laura is also returning a call from an officer about Greg violating his OOP.
October 9, 2023
Laura calls the police regarding whether Clayton’s OOP has been served.
Laura is also waiting on a call back from police regarding Greg Gillespie.

Laura calls to report “being umm really stalked and harassed by somebody on Reddit who also may have broken into my rental home.”
Laura claims nothing was taken or out of place, but she got an alert that someone had opened the door.

Laura filed a police report against Greg Gillespie and included an attachment titled "The Gillespie Connection" explaining why she thinks that Greg is posting about her on Reddit.
November 28, 2023
Follow up from DV accusations. Report lacks evidence and therefore would not be referred to the county attorney.
December 4, 2023
Laura submitted a tip to the FBI about the “harassment”. In the report, Laura claims to be “borderline suicidal”. Hannah from the FBI called the Scottsdale police to have them do a wellness check.

A “friend from New York” called in a wellness check after Laura posted a blog on December 8, 2023 claiming to be suicidal. Jan answers the door and claims Laura is napping. Police do not request to see Laura and they give the reporter’s phone number to Jan so she can see if she knows them. Before the officers leave, Jan gives the officers some candy.

Laura calls the police to report Clayton for giving a quote to The Sun after Laura went to the media.
January 18, 2024
Laura calls to report that she (and her mother) have been receiving calls from an unknown number that is leaving harassing voicemails.
February 7, 2024
Laura calls the police and reports that she is receiving death threats from someone online. The account that posted the death threats was named “Stella/Lisa Chen”
February 14, 2024
Laura calls SPD to report being harassed. She requests that it not be made public record. The dispatcher says “it is all public record”.
June 10, 2024
David S. Gingras Esq. calls the phoenix police on Mike Marraccini because he was at the June 10th trial (as a subpoenaed witness)
June 11, 2024
Laura called the police the day after the evidentiary hearing to report Mike, Greg, and Clayton for violating their restraining orders. Mike, Greg, and Clayton were all legally allowed to be there.
2025:
April 21, 2025
No crime occurred. Laura Owens claims that Clayton violated her order of protection or caused others to defame her couldn’t be verified. Telling his side to the media isn’t criminal. Case closed.
